PURPOSE:To surely store picture information for one unit's share to a buffer memory and to output the picture information for one unit's share independently of size of an output device, by providing a small capacity of buffer memory. CONSTITUTION:An original is scanned two-dimensionally, picture information on an original is read by a reader 11, the information is stored in a small capacity of page buffer 5 via a mask circuit 8 and a size conversion circuit 7 on a main controller 1, and when one unit's share of information is stored in the buffer 5, the information is read out and applied to a compressing and expanding circuit 6. After the specified compression is made at the circuit 6, the informatin is stored in the buffer 5 again. The picture information in compressed processing in the buffer 5 is applied to a storage device 13 via the circuits 7, 8 and is recorded in the specified track of a cassette tape 14. The location of information recorded in a CPU2 is decided and the index information is formed with the address information, preinputted title and original size and the information is added to the managing information in a title memory 4. |
