PURPOSE:To reduce the data transfer amount with other device and to increase the data transfer efficiency, by enabling to mix the character information and the picture information in the transfer data with other device and transferring the transferable data as character information all as character information. CONSTITUTION:Bit serial data transferred from other device is converted into parallel data in specified bit at serial parallel conversion circuit 1, and the parallel data is transferred to a comparison circuit 2 and a gate circuit 3. The circuit 2 collates and compress if the data transferred from the circuit 1 is control character indicating the head of picture data. The gate circuit 3 controls through the output signal of the circuit 2 if the data from the circuit 2 if the data from the circuit 1 is transferred to a character generating circuit 4 or to memory control circuit 5. Depending if the output of the circuit 2 is character data, picture data or control character indicating the head of the picture data, the data is transferred to the circuit 4, control circuit 5 or the both, and the transfer efficiency of data can be increased. |
