<p>PURPOSE:To enable an operator to operate a device without separating the hand from another device like a keyboard neither requiring a plane having a certain extent of a desk, a table, or the like within the range reaching the hand by using his both legs for indicating and selecting operation of one point on a picture. CONSTITUTION:A position designating part 10 which detects the relative movement between two points on a prescribed plane to generate a detection signal by the motion of one leg of the operator and a position selecting part 20 which selects one point on a designated picture to generate a select signal by the motion of the other leg are provided. An information processing part 40 calculates a new designated position on the picture is accordance with the relative extent of movement between two points on the plane and the position designated on the picture at present based on the detection signal from the position designating part 10 and the select signal from the position selecting part 20, and a display part 60 displays the new designated position calculated by the information processing part 40 on the display picture. Thus, the operator can operate the device without separating the hand from another input device like a keyboard neither requiring a plane having a certain extent of a desk, a table, or the like within the range reaching the hand.</p> |
