Tool assembly for riveting workpieces, comprising a first and a second frame (2, 5) which are capable of being mounted on a common "C" or on separate robotic arms (60, 61), a pair of blank-holders (3, 6) each mounted on one of the frames and at least one of which is provided with means (11) for displacing it in relation to the corresponding frame with a force corresponding to the clamping envisaged for holding in position the pieces for riveting during piercing, at least one piercing machine (20, 21) mounted on one frame, means (41) for positioning a rivet (40) in a hole made by the piercing machine, these means being supported by one frame, a percussion- riveting hammer (51) supported by one frame and an associated counter- piece (54) supported by the other frame and integral with a reaction dolly (52).
