A connection module, which can be inserted together with others in a case (shell) for constituting a modular connector, comprises a body (14) in the form of a flat slab (pancake) delimiting at least one row of parallel ducts each intended to receive a plug-in electrical contact and having a rear portion for connecting to an electrical wire (36). After having inserted the contacts, equipped with their wires (36), into the body (14), a mass of gel (38) is forced transversely to the ribbon of wires, at the rear of the unit, this mass of gel adhering to a lid (24) and being contained in this lid which has a shape such that it can give passage to the wires, the said gel constituting a self-healing paste capable of closing up on itself and of being bonded again around the wires without subsequently flowing away at normal use temperatures. <IMAGE>
