<p>A new type of insect trap which may be used for fighting not only olive flies but also any other kind of insect. According the present invention, the new trap is comprised of a level surface 15 x 20 cm. (or any other dimension) which may be made of plywood, wood, plastic, carton or any other material that may absorb the appropriate insecticide or special glue. There are three openings on the said surface. From the first, the insect trap is hung on the tree by a suspension system or wire. Tightly fitted on the second is a cylindrical container filled with the alluring food, being of same diameter. Tightly fitted on the third is a diffusing pheromone system - BIORYL type - or other cylindrical container containing pheromone. The assembly of the insect trap's parts is done by simple pressure without the aid of a special stapling device or other joining material.</p> |
