PURPOSE:To provide the color toner having a good hue, color tone reproducibility and dispersibility and to obviate the generation of development fogging on a photosensitive drum by mixing fine powder consisting of a red azo pigment and a binder material resin and fine powder consisting of a blue and/or green pigment and a binder material resin. CONSTITUTION:The fine powder A consisting of 3 to 10wt.% red azo pigment and 97 to 90wt.% binder material resin and the fine powder B consisting of 0.01 to 1wt.% >=1 kinds selected from the blue and green pigments and 99.99 to 99wt.% binder material resin are mixed at 20:1 to 1:1 by weight. The respective 50% volume average particle sizes of the fine powders A, B to be mixed, designated as D1, D2(mum), are specified to the relation D2-3<D1<D2+5. The magenta color toner which has the hue, color tone reproducibility and dispersibility sufficient for practicable use and obviates the toner fogging on the photosensitive drum is obtd. in this way. |
