NEW MATERIAL:Antibiotic substances RK-1441A and RK-1441B expressed by formula I and formula II and having the following physical and chemical properties. RK-1441A: melting point, 115-120 deg.C (decomposition); elemental analysis (%), C 57.07, H 6.01, N 9.72; specific rotation, [alpha]D=-692 deg. (C=0.52, methanol); solubility, easily soluble in water, methanol and ethanol; molecular formula, C14H18N2O5; molecular weight, 294; color reactions, positive to Rydon-Smith reaction and negative to Sakaguchi reaction; color, yellow; etc. USE:Antiviral agent. PREPARATION:A bacterial strain belonging to genus Streptomyces such as Streptomyces sp.RK-1441 (FERM P-11159) is cultured under nearly neutral pH condition at 25-35 deg.C preferably under aeration and agitation. |
