PURPOSE:To reinforce the edge of a V-shaped end and thereby prevent the generation of crimps and breaks by allowing a double adhesive tape to attach continuously along the edge of the V-shaped end of a roll paper. CONSTITUTION:A double adhesive tape 9 is attached to continuously along the edge of a V-shaped end and two belts of the four belts 6 of a running belt device 7 are used for acceleration of the speed of a roll paper when the paper is joined. In addition, the four belts 6 are used for controlling the tension of the roll paper after the joining of the paper. The two belts 6 come in contact with the upper surface of a double adhesive tape 9 directly. A resin film or paper is attached to the part where the belts 6 come in contact with the tape 9 or a somewhat large area so that the adhesive force of the double adhesive tape 9 applied to the belt 6 is eliminated. In addition, the double adhesive tape 9 is continuously attached to the edge of the V-shaped end of a roll paper, avoiding an area with which the belt 6 comes in contact. Furthermore, a member such as a resin tape with the belt 6 comes in contact or a member with which the belt 6 does not come in contact but paper does is allowed to attach to an area where the double adhesive tape 9 is not attached so that the double adhesive tape 9 slightly overlaps or fits into the area where the tape 9 is not attached. |
