PURPOSE:To improve heat insulating property and strength by filling a mixture of ceramic particles contg. heat insulating particles with metallic silicon powder into an outer tube, molding the mixture by cold isostatic pressing, nitriding ana sintering the metallic silicon. CONSTITUTION:Ceramic particles contg. heat insulating particles obtd. by calcining powder contg. particles of a heat insulator are mixed with metallic silicon powder or further mixed with an org. binder and the mixture is charged into an outer tube 1 and molded by cold isostatic pressing to form a heat insulating part 2. This part 2 is heated in a nitrogen atmosphere to nitride and sinter the metallic silicon. |
