PURPOSE:To prevent the pollution of a front plate or electrode from a bulkhead material by providing a barrier layer both or either of between the front plate and a bulkhead and between a cathode electrode and the bulkhead. CONSTITUTION:A front side barrier layer 20 is provided between the inner surface of a front plate 10 and a bulkhead, and a rear side barrier layer 22 is also provided between this inner surface and a cathode electrode 16 provided on a back plate 12. The barrier layers 20, 22 are formed in the thickness same as the width of the bulkhead with a thickness optionally formed according to design. The diffusion of a pigment component from the bulkhead to the electrode 16 and an anode electrode 14 can be prevented, and as the burning and printing of the bulkhead are carried out after the formation of the barrier layers 20, 22 thereon, the pollution of the electrode 14 of the front plate 10 and the cathode electrode 16 on the back side by the pigment component of the bulkhead material can be avoided. |
