PURPOSE:To obtain a reproducing signal whose S/N ratio is satisfactory, following a bend, etc. of a recording tack, and to reproduce nterchangeably a magnetic tape on which a narrow recording track has been formed, by controlling a scanning locus of a rotary head so as to reduce a detected track shift. CONSTITUTION:Track shift detection signals generated from detecting parts 6a- 6g are based on a result of comparison of 1 frame before and 2 frames before the reproduction of a rotary head, are supplied to control voltage generating circuits 7a-7g, are converted to control voltage in these circuits, and after that, are applied to terminals (a)-(g) of a changeover switch SW, respectively. The control voltage for reducing a track shift in each divided section in case when the rotary head has reproduced previously (1 frame before) is switched and outputted to a common terminl of the changeover switch SW, corresponding to a devided section in the course of scanning by the rotary head, also is added to track width direction driving voltage for detecting a track shift, and is applied to a head moving mechanism 8. |
