The amplifier arrangement consists of an amplifier (V) having its input (E) connected to the junction of a current source (I1) and a current sink (T2). Either the current source supplies a constant current and the current sink is modulated by the output signal of the amplifier, or vice versa. The amplifier output may control a voltage-controlled current source which controls the controlled current at the input of the amplifier. A further voltage-controlled current source may be provided which supplies part of the controlled current. The voltage-controlled current source may consist of a constant current source in series or in parallel with a voltage-controlled resistance. A current mirror may be provided to control the magnitude of the input side current in accordance with the output side current. The constant current sources may consist of current mirrors controlled by a reference constant current source.
