The van-type vehicle has a tent (13) with roof section (4) extending from its roof (3) at one end at least. One or more sidewalls (8) extend from the tent roof to the ground (9), while an inflatable chamber renders the tent self-supporting. A container is provided on the van body (2) for stowage of the tent after the chamber has been deflated, typically on the roof. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple and rapid erection of weatherproof working space, while requiring little space when stowed for transit.
