摘要 The open-end spinning rotor shaft, supported at the free end by a step bearing, has axial elasticity at the free shaft end near the step bearing. Material for the free shaft end has an elasticity coefft. which differs from the material in the remainder of the component. At the step bearing, the free shaft end can be fitted with at least one grooved cut with a depth through the centre line of the shaft, or at least two cut grooves are fitted on opposite sides of the shaft behind each other along the shaft line, or they are displaced from each other by the same rotary angle round the shaft circumference and equidistant along the shaft line. As seen from the end of the shaft, the cut grooves run at an angle of 90-45 deg. to the centre line, or at 45 deg. Alternatively, the cut groove starts at a given gap from the shaft end, and follows a spiral path with a given pitch along the axial line of the shaft for a set length. ADVANTAGE - The structure reduces oscillation and the wear effect on the bearing, to allow higher speeds and a longer life.
