The heat exchanger has a heat exchange unit (12) and a fan (26) contained in a common housing (19) attached to the top wall of the switch cabinet, so that openings (20, 25) in the base of the housing (19) are aligned with corresponding openings in the top wall. The heat exchange unit (12) lies in a catch meat pan (14) having a level and/or temp sensor (17). The interior of the housing (19) is divided into an entry chamber (EK) and an exit chamber (AK) respectively having an entry channel (21) and an exit channel (31) coupled to opposite sides of the heat exchanger. The output from the exit channel (31) leads to the fan (26). ADVANTAGE - Prevents risk of water leaking into switch cabinet.
