The driver reproduces and analyze the data directly after the record of the data to discriminate the possibility of re-write according to the error. The driver includes a controller (11) for generating the state information according to the write or the reproducing mode, a command register (12) for transmitting the instructions of a computer to the controller, a state register (13) for transmitting the state information to the computer, a bi- directional multiplexer (14) for transmitting the write data of the computer to the disk and the reproduced data to the computer, a first memory (15) for recording the write data temperary, an encoder (16) for adding the error correction code to the write data, a modulator (17) for modulating the error correction code to fit the disk, a demodulator (19) for demodulating the data read from the disk, a decoder (20) for checking and correcting error of output data of the demodulator, and transmitting the uncorrected error to the controller.
