The machine has two sets of harrow beams (3) on transversely reciprocating frames. They loosen the ground and provide a tilth. The edges of the worked ground strip are brushed by brush edges (17), fitted to the sides of the machine to prevent build-up of furrows. The brushes are set at angles and can be ftted to frames attached to the following compacting roller (8).
