The tension restraint has a rotatable guide ring (7) through which the cable is passed, with a number of threaded bores receiving respective clamping screws (3, 5, 8, 16), displaced radially to contact the outside of the cable. The point of each screw (3, 5, 8, 16) is rounded and polished, to prevent damage to cable outer sheath. Pref. the guide ring receives four clamping screws (3, 5, 8, 16), each fitted with a respective washer. ADVANTAGE - Prevents knicking of electrical cable.
