PURPOSE:To improve patterning accuracy and flatness by molding a substrate for optical recording medium by fixing a long-sized pattern in which a pre- format pattern is directly provided on a flexible sheet on the entire plane of the outer periphery of a roller with a joint without generating a step. CONSTITUTION:In a roller 4 for molding, the long-sized stamper 2 is installed on the outer peripheral surface of the roller 1 with the joint 5 without generating the step. The long-sized stamper 2 is formed by directly providing plural pre-format patterns 3 on the flexible sheet. The manufacture of this substrate for optical recording medium is performed in such a manner that it can be performed successively by heating and pressurizing resin pushed out from the T die 13 of a manufacturing device by using the roller 4 for molding, and transferring the pre-format pattern 3, thereby, the patterning accuracy and the flatness can be improved. |
