HIGH-TEMPERATURE GAS-COOLED REACTOR OF MULTREGION CORE PEBBLE BED TYPE

PURPOSE:To provide this reactor which is compact and lower in cost by segmenting the core region enclosed by a single reflector to plural core regions by means of the partition wall of the reflector and providing fuel exchange systems independently to each of the respective core regions. CONSTITUTION:The reflector 1 is constituted of the single side part reflector 1a enclosing the peripheral area of the pebble bed reactor core 2, the top part reflector 16 and the graphite partition wall 1c which is integrated with the reflector 1a and segments the core 2 to the plural core regions 2a to 2c. The fuel exchange apparatus including fuel discharge pipes 8 for the bottom and fuel loading pipes 9 for the upper part are independently installed for each of the respective core regions 2a to 2c of the core 2. Further, gas circulating machines 4 and steam generators 5 installed in correspondence to the core regions of the core 2 are dispersed in the outer peripheral area of the reflector 1 and are disposed in the cavity of a pre-stressed concrete pressure vessel 7.
