Cavity resonator with TE wave-type coupling - provided by slot in side wall of cylinder

A cylindrical cavity resonator (HR) has a coupling aperture for an existing TE wavetype. The magnetic field lines of the TE11n waveform are formed tangentially to the cylindrical surface of the resonator. In the side wall of the unit a coupling slot (K) is located in the direction of the gamma component of the magnetic field. Ideally the slot is located at the max. magnetic field point. ADVANTAGE - Provides coupling between resonators.
