PURPOSE:To display a character or graphic of free size fitting in the working state of a keyboard without being limited by the frame of each keyboard and to improve operability and easy observation by combining a display device with the keyboard. CONSTITUTION:The keyboard is comprised of a keyboard part 1 and a display part 2, and it is made of transparent material, and is structured so that display from a lower display part can be observed through he keyboard. In KANA (Japanese syllabary) input mode, the display on the keyboard is performed in HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary). Also, the operability can be improved by displaying a function on a required keyboard. In a document layout setting mode, an item required for layout setting is displayed on the keyboard. In such a way, it is possible to display the character or graphic of free size without being limited by the frame of each conventional keyboard, and to apply the keyboard to every kind of application software. |
