A pressurised stream of air is created inside a vehicle using a compressor. The air is then forced through a tube from the compressor to the outer body of the vehicle. The tube or channel then runs along the outer shell of the vehicle. Along this length, at certain points, a series of nozzles are placed so that the air can escape, (still under pressure). By placing the nozzles fairly close together a 'curtain' of air is then produced. The purpose of this arrangement is to deflect snow, rain and other 'foreign bodies' from the vehicles wind-shield and thus increase the drivers general visibility. <IMAGE> |
