PURPOSE:To detect blend ratio in real time from memorized feedback compensa tion coefficient and mapping by carrying out the proportional integration of O2 sensor output to calculate the mean value of the feedback compensation coefficient. CONSTITUTION:An O2 sensor 30 which outputs air-fuel ratio information is installed at the first exhaust pipe 18 of an engine 10, and its output is inputted in a controller 25 provided with a control circuit 39, a memory circuit 40, an input/output circuit 41 and a driving circuit 42. The O2 sensor 30 increases or decreases the evaluation voltage of rich or lean air-fuel ratio with the pas sage of time. The output is proportionally-integrated by a proportional integra tion circuit and feedback compensation coefficient is calculated to determine the mean value of adjoining peaks. This value is multiplied by a memorized blend ratio compensation coefficient to detect blend ratio based on blend ratio mapping. Thus, the blend ratio is detected in real time to be used for engine control such as ignition timing. |
