PURPOSE:To obtain a photographically stabilized dye image easily only through heating by forming a layer contg. a dye fixing agent and a specified compd. as a dye fixing material for transferring a dye image formed in a thermodevelopable photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A single or plural layers contg. a dye fixing agent and a compd. capable of reacting with silver halide and an org. silver oxidizing agent, or adsorbing them are formed on a support. A suitable compd. for said compd. is an N-contg. heterocyclic compd. especially an N-contg. 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic compd. represented by the formula shown here in which R1-R3 are each H, alkyl, aralkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy, aryl, halogen, -CN, -OH, or the like. It is desirable that such a compd. is contained in a dye fixing layer or a layer formed on the dye fixing layer, such as protective layer, thus permitting rapid control of overdevelopment of a photosensitive layer in transferring the dye by heating, and formation of a sharp image. |
