METHODS OF CONTROLLING CURSOR AND SCROLLING DISPLAY

PURPOSE: To provide a dependent work station DWS with a user interaction function by enabling the DWS to utilize a more refined design function or a work station controller WSC to control the picture display of the DWS by interaction with the WSC. CONSTITUTION: A WSC 3 includes plural circuits and 80826 circuit chips of INTEL Inc. as standards or equivalents. A WSC microprocessor is normally connected to a system bus adapter. The WSC is provided with an internal bus, a RAM having 0.5 to 2.0 MB capacity and a ROM having about 16kB and includes coding for start and diagnosis of the WSC. The internal bus is connected to a communication adapter and is externally connected to a fan-out box which is in a form of a multiplexer so that plural DWS can communicate with the single WSC. Thus, the DWS is provided with a user interaction function.
