PURPOSE: To restrain a sudden change of the engine speed in shifting by forming specified cam front surfaces on a guide block to be slid and operated in the longitudinal direction by a remote controller, and arranging a switch having a movable plunger so as to face the cam front surfaces. CONSTITUTION: In a shifting mechanism to be mounted on a marine transmission, a guide block 66 slidably provided on a selector plate 10 fixed to an engine is connected by a control cable to be towed by a remote controller (not shown in Fig.) by a connecting part 20. In this case, a switch 40 is mounted in a longitudinal groove 48 between right and left side parts 44 and 46 of a support 42 extending upward from an upper guide rail 26 of the selector plate 10 so that its vertical position may be freely adjusted. The guide block 66 is provided with cam front surfaces 68 and 72 inclined in the opposite directions and a horizontal front surface 70 between them, a movable plunger 64 of the switch 40 is raised or lowered by the movement along the upper guide rail 26, and a built-in contact is turned on or off. |
