PURPOSE:To stick phosphor copper brazing filler metal of the same thickness at high speeds on base material by ion plating phosphorus and copper continuously and respectively separately on the surface of the base material in a vacuum chamber. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a take-up chamber 11 is evacuated to about 10-1- 10-4 torr through a vacuum chamber 1 and a cooling passage 10. A base material 5 is uncoiled and is taken up on a take-up shaft 13 at about 2-80m per minute. On the other hand, ingots 15, 17 of phosphorus and copper and heated by high frequency heaters 16, 18. At this time, the frequency of the heaters 16, 18 is set at about 10kHz, and the heating temp. is properly determined by the vapor pressure of the chamber 1. A component ratio of 7% phosphorus and 93% copper of the values similar to the components of BCuP-2 is beforehand set in a fluorometric analyzing device 21, and when it goes higher than the set value, the heating is stopped automatically. The vapors of the phosphorus and copper released from the heaters 16, 18 deposit as phosphor copper brazing metal in a mingled state on the bottom surface of the base material 5 entering a lower chamber 4. |
