摘要 PURPOSE:To inspect various malfunctions of leads of a component in a short work time with a compact structure and to mount the leads by moving the component to a visual recognition position by grasping means, illuminating the lead end of the component, recognizing the position by recognition means, and inspecting the lead. CONSTITUTION:A hand 11 of a robot 5 is moved over a component supply unit 2, an FIC 6 is grasped, the hand 11 is moved to a recognition unit 4, positioned at a predetermined position, and the lead of the FIC 6 is recognized to be inspected. In the recognizing and inspecting steps, a TV camera 16 is arranged at its optical axis horizontally, a slit light source 17 is emitted obliquely from below to a lead end 15 to detect the positional deviation to the reference position of the end 15, thereby simultaneously inspecting a lead pitch, a lead floating, a lead defect and a lead deviation by one camera 16. If the inspection is allowed, the hand 11 is moved over the board 8 while grasping the FIC 6 to be positioned, and mounted at a predetermined position on the board 8.
