PURPOSE:To perform rolling for special shape without generating under fill by arranging edger rolls which can thicken the breadthwise end parts of a rolled stock on the inlet side of a rolling stand with a caliber roll of which the side of end parts in the direction of axial center are small diameter. CONSTITUTION:The strip-shaped rolled stock 4 is rolled with a rolling device for special shape such that the sides of the breadthwise end parts are relatively made thicker than the middle part. Then, the caliber roll 1, the sides of end parts of which in the direction of axial center are small diameter to the middle part, is provided in the rolling stand 3. On the inlet side of that rolling stand 3, edger rolls 5 with which the thickness of the breadthwise end parts can be increased by edging the rolled stock 4 are arranged. In this way, the rolled stock can be rolled into the special shape with a desired thickness distribution with extremely less number of rolling and rolling efficiency of the steel sheet with the special shape can be improved. |
