PURPOSE:To eliminate work removing the staple of copy papers stapled halfway to again staple the copy papers by a mounting a sensor detecting the copy papers not perfectly grasped by one ends of arm members grasping the copy papers and preventing the stapling of the copy papers when the copy papers not perfectly grasped are detected by the sensor. CONSTITUTION:After the discharge of copy papers 10 is completed, a motor 34 is forwardly rotated and arms 36 are stopped at a predetermined position. The copy papers not grasped by the arms 36 are detected by a reflection type photosensor 47. When said copy papers are not detected at this time, a stapler 23 performs stapling and advances to the next bin 12 to perform a series of similar works. When all of the copy papers 10 on the bin 12 can not be stapled, no stapling is performed and a user performs stapling after copying is perfectly completed using the stapler but work removing the staple of the copy papers stapled halfway to again staple the copy papers by the stapler as is conventional becomes unnecessary. |
