<p>PURPOSE:To record only a program truly required by separating a prolonged/ delayed information signal superimposed for a nonuse period in a vertical blanking period and using the signal as a control signal. CONSTITUTION:Since a period from 10H to 15H in a television signal in which a character broadcast can be superimposed is not in use, an identification signal for a prolonged/delayed program and a time information signal are superimposed for the period and a receiver is provided with a prolonged/delayed information signal detection section 2 and a television signal correction section 1. The prolonged/delayed information signal detection section 2 identifies a program prolonged/delayed in a television program broadcast and detects the prolonged/ delayed time and gives a control signal 104 relating thereto to an external device (e.g. video recorder), and the television signal correction section 1 eliminates the prolonged/delayed information signal superimposed on the broadcast signal of the television program to avoid disturbance onto the receiver. Thus, only the substantially required program video image is recorded.</p> |
