<p>PURPOSE:To detect the presence or movement of the human body or object in the human body area within a detection area by detecting the wavelength change of reflected visible light determined by the color of the object in the detection area determined by a condensing system. CONSTITUTION:The reflected light from an object is guided to a color sensor 5 by a condensing system 1 and the color sensor 5 changes in its output according to the wavelength characteristics of incident visible light. When a human body or an object goes in and out of a detection area, the wavelength characteristics such as wavelength distribution intensity or the like of the visible light in the detection area change and the output of the color sensor 5 also changes in response thereto. This output is amplified by an amplifying part 3 and processing such as comparison or operation is applied to the amplified signal in a signal processing part 4 to detect the presence and movement of the human body. In this case, detection sensitivity is not affected by background temp. or the temp. of the detected body and highly accurate detection becomes possible.</p> |
