PURPOSE: To enable accurate leveling with a true horizontal beam by providing a light source to a platform, which is possible to self-leveling and swings and outputting laser beam from a rotating prism. CONSTITUTION: A platform 24 to which a laser light source 22 is attached is suspended from a frame 12 with multiple flexible gold-plated Mylar strip 26, and supported while swinging is allowed, and the strip 26 functions as a power supply wiring. At first, a screw 20 is manually adjusted for rough leveling, then a laser beam is made to focus by a lens 48 to be a parallel beam, then a horizontal beam is outputted by a prism 62 which is rotated by a motor 70. At that time, a power source converts 4.5V DC into 20V AC and further into 2-3V AC which is supplied to a light source, so a swinging motion due to magnetism is prevented from affected by DC, thus correct self-leveling is possible.
