Ester derivatives and process for production thereof

There are provided novel ester derivatives represented by the following formula(I): <IMAGE> (I) wherein, R1 represents methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, t-butyl, or phenyl; R2 represents phenyl, methoxy, ethoxy, isopropanoxy, or t-butanoxy; and X represents Br, and a process for preparing the same which comprises reacting an aldehyde of the formula (III) with an acid halide of the formula (IV) at 20 DEG -80 DEG C. in the presence or absence of solvents. <IMAGE> Wherein, R1, R2 and X have the same meaning as defined above.
