PURPOSE:To obtain a high temp. gas guide tube having a small elastic constant and a high surface strength by heating to the prescribed temp. after inserting a ceramic tube mainly comprising aluminum titanate as cast-in with a metal and decomposing. CONSTITUTION:As the ceramic mainly composing of the aluminum titanate having small elastic constant has high heat shock resistance, too, even if molten cast iron is flowed into periphery of the ceramic in the room temp., the ceramic is not broken. Successively, after inserting this as cast-in, at the time of heating the ceramic tube at 900 - 1,300 deg.C, the aluminum titanate starts to decompose into alumina and titania. Breaking strength of the ceramic comes to large according to the decomposition and the surface strength of ceramic tube is improved. |
