PURPOSE:To increase the speed of image forming processing and to improve whole productivity such as a working efficiency, etc., by deciding whether reading the image on a document is performed or not by the reciprocating movement of an optical scanning system and controlling a sheet document automatically feeding means and an image reading means. CONSTITUTION:It is decided by a deciding means F whether reading the image on the document is performed by actuating a sheet document automatically feeding means A by the action of a document recirculating sort mode or reading the image on the document is performed by the reciprocating movement of the optical scanning system based on the detection result of the document sheets number detecting means D and the decision result of a mode decision means E. The sheet document automatically feeding means A and an image reading means B are controlled by a controlling means G based on the decision of the means F. That means, by deciding whether or not passing-copying is performed under the document recirculating sort mode in accordance with the number of the document sheets, the switching of the sort modes is performed. Thus, the speed of the image forming processing can be improved and the whole productivity can be remarkably improved. |
