The invention concerns a glue press which comprises a first roll 11,111 which is rigidly mounted in the body 10,110 of the glue press, and a second roll 14,114 which forms a glue-press nip N together with the first roll. The second roll is mounted in the glue-press body 10,110 by a load strut 16,116 which is supported against a transverse pivoting shaft 17,117 which can be swivelled by loading cylinders 18,118 to produce the level of pressure required in nip N, and for opening the nip.The paper web W will arrive at the glue-press nip N guided by a paper lead roll 21,121. The paper lead roll 21,121 is mounted in the swivelling strut 24,124 which is pivotally mounted in the body 10,110 of the glue press by a transverse pivoting shaft 17,117 in such a way, that the paper lead roll 21,121 can be swung aside from its drive position to a lateral projecting position for changing the roll. The swivelling strut 24,124 of the paper lead roll 21,121 is pivoted on the same shaft as the load strut 16,116 of the second glue-press roll 14,114. <IMAGE>
