摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a component to be accurately aligned even if the component increases in number of terminals or becomes narrow in terminal pitch by a method wherein a liquid crystal substrate and components are relatively moved to align the terminals of the liquid crystal substrate with those of the component making them equal in deviation at the ends. CONSTITUTION:A position control device 22 is composed of a main control section 23, an image memory 24, a deviation computation section 25, an output section 26, and an A/D(analog/digital) converter 27. The position control device 22 computes the quantity of deviation of the terminals 3 of a liquid crystal substrate 1 from the terminals 5 of a component 2 at the ends A and B of the arranged terminals 3 and 5 and generates a movement control signal which makes the deviation between the terminals 3 and 5 at the ends A and B equal in quantity. A movement mechanism 28 moves the component 2 in the planar directions of X and Y receiving the movement control signal from the position control device 22. By this setup, a component can be accurately aligned even if it increases in number of terminals or it becomes narrow in terminal pitch.
