<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a maximum time required for synchronization even when an input pattern and a reference pattern are ultra long patterns in a pattern synchronizing device for an error rate measuring instrument by blocking the supply of a clock to an M series generator to generate a queue pattern as an output of a pattern generating section and supplying the clock to the M series generator continuously when an input pattern is coincident with the queue pattern. CONSTITUTION:An M series generator generates an M series with a prescribed pattern content whose pattern length is 2N-1 bits by receiving clocks continuously. When a queue pattern being an output of a reference pattern generating section 70 is coincident with an input pattern produced at the blocking of the clock supply to the M series generator 10, the output of the reference pattern generating section 70 is synchronized with the input pattern and clocks are fed continuously to the M series generator of the reference pattern generating section after the time of coincidence and a reference pattern is generated from a reference pattern generating section to obtain the reference pattern synchronously with the input pattern from the reference pattern generating section after the coincidence.</p> |
