PURPOSE:To measure the resistance value of a soln. with high precision and to accurately measure the conductivity by using titanium plated with platinum black as the material for the electrode and increasing the capacitor component resulting from an increase in the surface area of the electrode. CONSTITUTION:At least a couple of electrodes 3 are provided to an electrode supporting member 1 at an appropriate distance from each other. Since titanium plated with platinum black is used as the material for the electrode 3, the capacitor component resulting from an increase in the surface area of the electrode is increased. Consequently, polarization causing a measuring error is drastically reduced in the measurement of a high-conductivity soln., etc., the resistance value of the soln. is measured with good precision, and the conductivity inversely related to the resistance value is also accurately measured. When titanium low in cost and easy to work is plated with platinum black, the surface of titanium is pretreated, previous electrolysis is applied, hence the platinum grains are deposited on the rough surface, and a rigid platinum black plating is formed. |
