PURPOSE:To obtain a stabilizer for suppressing temperature dependence of mortar comprising montmorilonite-containing clay and cement by blending glucose or maltose with sodium gluconate in a specific weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:One or more saccharides of glucose and maltose are blended with sodium gluconate in the weight ratio of the sodium gluconate to the saccharides of (8:2)-(2:8) to give a stabilizer. Mortar to which this stabilizer is added may also be an aerated mortar prepared by mixing mortar comprising montmorilonite-containing clay and cement with a foaming agent. The weight ratio of cement to montmorilonite-containing clay is preferably (1:4)-(10:1) and the content of montmorilonite contained in clay is preferably >=5wt.% based on clay. Mortar having a composition except the range can not provide suppressing effects on temperature dependence even by using the stabilizer. |
