PURPOSE:To prevent a protruding part of an original plate or a recessed part of a matrix from being broken or corrugated or distorted by specifying the hardness of a photosetting part measured by a Barcol hardness tester. CONSTITUTION:The hardness of a photosetting part is measured by a Barcol hardness tester GYZJ936 after the photosetting part is kept at 23 deg.C under the relative humidity of 50% for 48 hours subsequent to the photosetting reaction with irradiation of ultraviolet rays of the quantity twice the exposure amount necessary for the image exposure. In order to form a matrix, the Barcol hardness of the photosetting part is necessary to be 60 or more at 23 deg.C and also 5 or more at 110 deg.C. It is accordingly prevented that a relief is chipped by the pressure or a recessed part of the matrix is distorted when the matrix is obtained.
