摘要 |
PURPOSE:To improve detection sensitivity by heating a sample which is to be inspected and consists of a high-polymer material and an ultrasonic probe via liquid. CONSTITUTION:The liquid 2 in a liquid container 1 is heated by a heating means 3 and after the respective parts attain prescribed temps., the probe 4 connected to a driving analysis apparatus via a lead wire 5 is operated and an ultrasonic signal is transmitted to a cable C to be inspected. This signal propagates in the liquid 2 and is made incident into the cable C where the signal is reflected by the surface and defect of the cable C. This signal propagates again in the liquid 2 and is received by the probe 4. The cable C is rotated via a bearing mechanism 6 and a bevel gear mechanism 7 by a handle 8 and is inspected over the entire periphery of the cable C. The ultrasonic attenuation rate of the crosslinked PE of the cable C is then lowered at a high temp. and the characteristic noises of the probe 4 decrease; therefore, the defect detecting sensitivity is improved. |
