PURPOSE:To display a time and a lapse of time onto a picture on a monitor by converting information relating to a time outputted from a timer section into picture information able to displayed as a picture and synthesizing the picture information onto a received picture signal. CONSTITUTION:At application of power of a picture transmitter 3, a timer section 9 starts measurement of time based on the time of a built-in clock. On the other hand, when a signal from an opposite station is received, a D/A converter section 8 outputs a picture signal received from the opposite party and a synthesis section 10 receives the picture signal and receives the time and the lapse of time at that time from the timer section 9. Then the time and the lapse of time are converted into a signal of the same form as the picture signal and the picture information generated through conversion is superimposed onto a prescribed part of the picture signal. The picture signal after the superimposition is outputted to a monitor 2. Thus, the signal added with the time and the lapse of time onto the picture from the opposite party is displayed on the monitor 2. |
