An apparatus employing the action of an electromagnetic field on the ions forming the scale and present in mains water. The specific device of the process is to wind, around water pipes, two wires which are called reels and to connect them in series with two capacitors; a closed circuit is thus obtained which avoids all risks of electrical discharges and provides a completely effective operation.
