PURPOSE:To decide at high speed whether a shorter character-string exists in a character-string or not by setting condition bits of OR and AND of a condition register by signals of OR and AND of plural pieces of all zero detecting signals of a byte unit. CONSTITUTION:In order to detect whether a certain character-string B existing in a certain character-string A, for instance, a terminal character, etc., exist or not, a character-string of four bytes being width which a computing element 1 has is fetched from the character-string A, and with regard to whether the character-string B exists in some part therein or not, that which is obtained by transferring the head byte of the character-string B to each byte of four byte width, and four bytes of the character-string A are executed by comparing the four byte width by the computing element, and by executing OR of a zero condition bit of a byte unit, it is detected by a circuit set to the bit concerned of a condition register 2. In such a way, whether a shorter character-string B exists in a certain character-string or not can be decided at high speed. |
