<p>A polymerization catalyst for olefins including styrenic compounds, containing as one component a transition metal compound having two ligands such as a β-diketone, which comprises: (a) a transition metal compound of general formula (I), wherein M represents titanium, zirconium, hafnium or vanadium; Y?1 and Y2¿ represent the same or different halogen atoms or C¿1? to C10 alkyl groups; and R?1, R2 and R3¿ represent each hydrogen or a C¿1? to C10 hydrocarbon group, provided that at least one of them is hydrogen but not all of them are hydrogen at the same time, and (b) an organoaluminum compound, particularly aluminoxane.</p> |
