PURPOSE:To construct a lightweight sheet-shaped battery and enhance its reliability by forming the exterior member from resin layer on the outside and from metal sheet on the inside, and locating two electrode terminals in the region where part of the resin layer on the outside of the exterior member is removed. CONSTITUTION:An exterior member is composed of a metal foil functioning as current collector, a heat fusion agent, and a plastic sheet, and a metal sheet is used to the inner surface of the exterior member to prevent deterioration caused by light and volatilization of solvent components of the electrolyte. The exterior member is sealed with a heat fusion material, and that surface of metal sheet which is not in contact with the electrode is reinforced with plastic film except the terminal takeout part. The two electrode terminals are located where the exterior member sealing part is avoided, and leak and volatilization of the electrolyte are prevented. Thereby the object battery is accomplished in light weight and is equipped with high reliability. |
